RACE DAY INFORMATION

DIRECTIONS

From 4^th St. in Leavenworth go West on Muncie St. to Hughes Rd. Go North on Hughes and the driveway into St. Mary’s will be identified with signs (On the right or East side of the street). Parking is in front of McGilley Gym and Registration/Awards and Food will be located on the hill at Ryan Gym.

Please do not use the front entrance of St. Mary’s off of 4^th St.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

• Registration will be in Ryan Gym located at the top of the hill off of Hughes Rd. Same location as Veterans Cross.

• Registration and Pre-Registration Packet Pick-up begins at 8:30 a.m.

• Pre-Registered riders no need to fill out release forms go straight to the Pre-Reg. line and pick up your number and goodies provided by our sponsors.

• Registration will close twenty minutes prior to each respective event.

• Kansas Residents you will be eligible for State Awards.  You will register for the class listed on the flier for the DeStad Cup. The age groups for state medals will be divided out of the results.

SHOWER FACILITIES

Showers are available in the “Visitors” Locker Rooms located in Ryan Hall

Class and State awards will be presented at:

1:00 p.m. for Men’s Cat 4, Men’s Masters Classes, Junior Men and Womens Cat 4. and Masters 35 B+ (as they come available)

3:00 p.m. for any previous classes that weren’t official at 1:00 p.m. and Men’s Open, Singlespeed, and Mens Cat 3 / 4

4:00 p.m. for Women’s Masters

TCX Frame – will be raffled during the day. Winner will be announced.  Size will be determined and frame will ordered and delivered next week.

JET Pro Trainer – will be raffled during the day. Winner will be announced and can be picked up at awards area at Ryan Gym

Coffee/HEED and various items from our sponsors will be raffled during the day. Winners will be announced and can be picked up at awards area at Ryan Gym

The De Stad Cyclocross Van Kansas Series presented by Paceline Products heads back to the beautiful campus of the University of Saint Mary for the final round of our 2009 series.  A classic course has been laid out for you by the Cross Guru which will include the popular elements that this great venue has to offer and an end of season feast presented by Cow Town Cycling and The Wheel Cyclery will tasty home made goodies.

Sunday’s De Stad Cross Cup will decided who are the cyclocross champions for the 2009 season and 30 Kansas State Cyclocross Championship titles will be awarded (see event flyer for details).  In addition to De Stad Cross Cup event awards, De Stad series championships and Kansas State titles, the De Stad Cross Cup/Kansas State Cyclocross Championships is also the final round of the 2009 Kansas Omnium State Championship.  Details and Scoring Methods can be found HERE.  The current Omnium standings can be found HERE.

Online registration closes on Thursday at 11:59pm.  Please visit our registration link: De Stad Online Registration Link to register. Note: All pre-registered riders will be entered in the series raffle to win a Giant Cyclocross frame.  All pre-registered riders will receive a Wheel Cyclery goody bag which will include some great products like Chamois Butt'r, FRS Energy , Sombra gels and Hammer products.  Riders will be called to the line based on order of registration.  Race day registration is available and opens at 8:30am. The updated 2009 Series Points are posted! Check them out here!

Round #5 will be the final chapter in the 2009 DeStad Series and it all comes down to this Sunday.

Many of the categories are coming down to the final round. The women's categories are closely contested just 5 points separate 1st and 2nd in the Open Women's class and only a 10 pt range between 1st thru 5th in the Women's Cat. 4. Even the Junior Men is coming down to the last race just 3 points seperate 1st and 2nd!
